A regal, ravishing gown fit for a queen, this one-of-a-kind, custom-made creation is a candyfloss chiffon joy, embellished with the most intricate iridescent sequin designs of leaves and swirls that continue round the back of the bodice. A flattering princess line bodice gives way to two carousel style drapes at the hips, each adorned with a circle of sequins at the top. These drapes extend round from the rear of the skirt, accentuating the contrast of the heavily embellished front paneling. It boasts a rounded neckline with a V-shaped dip at the back, and the lining - a slightly darker pink - gives the chiffon an added depth and luster. A back zip fastening, two hook and eyes, and additional facing round the neckline and armholes complete this breathtaking, truly special piece.

Note Of Interest

Ann's Vogue Shoppe in Cleveland, Ohio was an exclusive dressmaker who made luxe gowns and occasionwear to order, so everything was made to measure and exclusive. They operated from the early 1950s through to the late 1980s and all the seamstresses and tailors worked onsite. Ladies would commission gowns with them for very special events. We are told the back room holding all the materials, laces, fine trims and detailing was a vision to behold!

Condition

Very good condition with some small issues. There are a couple of marks near the bottom of the chiffon and some very small pulls which get lost in the drape of the fabric.  The construction and fabrics are all strong and sound and the sequins are in remarkably good order.
