Stunning deadstock dress from JC Penney. Made in the early 1980s but everything about this dress; the silhouette, the tailoring and the fabric, scream classic 1950s.

She has gingham squares in red, purple, orange, green, blue, and yellow ones with a heavier navy check throughout.  There are 4 navy buttons to the front of the bodice which has a revere collar and a short sleeve with a turn up cuff. The skirt of the dress is box pleated all the way around giving great fullness, and she can accommodate a full petticoat underneath. Made of a crisp polycotton blend, she has her original belt and belt loops. The collar is faced.

Condition

Couple of age marks on the inside of the belt only, not the fabric side, otherwise PRISTINE, as new condition.

Measurements and details

All vintage clothing is measured with the garment flat and measurements doubled for width. Please compare these measurements to a garment that fits you well as often there is very little or no give in vintage fabrics.
