The VV Dolls

Miss Alexa has been with the company since conception and is Mrs Darling’s right hand woman. Together they select the collections that we bring you every season, matching accessories and co-ordinating with our authentic vintage line. She is our Buyer, Online Sales Manager, Content writer and Social Media Doll. Epic at putting quirkier outfits together, and is the Queen of quick retorts. She has appeared as a model on our website wearing size Bette/Clara and her favourite vintage-inspired brands are Onjenu and Palava. She prefers animals to humans (especially dogs) and her favourite dinosaur is the Deinonychus. She sends the best greeting cards.

Miss Petra is our amazing Boutique Manager at our Alverstoke Branch. She’s been with us since Winter 2015. She adores the femininity of VV and loves an excuse to embrace getting dolled up! Her honesty and eye for detail have earned her much adoration from our regular customers. Her favourite brands are Onjenu and Sixton London and she wears size Bette. Miss Petra loves frequenting boot sales and has really freaky toes…she can pick up almost any object with them!

Miss Amanda is our extremely talented Brand Management Doll and assists with our marketing strategies. She’s been with us since Winter 2014. When she’s not consulting with us, she is the Director of Laud & Lore (her own brand management & consultancy company) AND she is the Creative Director of Tall Blue Starry. A talented milliner, she feeds creativity and skill into her fabulous company specialising in uniquely crafted headwear and other oddities, some of which you can find right here on our site! Miss Amanda has also appeared as a model for our website wearing size Dorothy. A romantic, daydreaming ball of incredible, Miss Amanda has taken us on some of the best adventures so far!

Miss Sam is a Style Consultant in the Alverstoke boutique and tells us she's thrilled to be the latest member of the VV Dolls Team, joining us in Spring 2021. She wears a size Grace, and loves all things 40s & 50s, and embraces the style and look wholeheartedly.
Her other passion is sewing & she makes her own vintage inspired clothes. She'll also be taking on small alterations and mends within the shop. Fun fact: Miss Sam can’t whistle!!!

Miss Laura is a Style Consultant in the Alverstoke boutique and has been with us at weekends since 2017. She wears a size Audrey. She’s a huge fan of dogs, (of course) make-up, and a good musical. Outside the boutique she’s a fantastic dancer, currently attending a prestigious dance school for her further education - so it’s no wonder she’s so elegant and poised. Her favourite vintage inspired brands are Jolie Moi and Pretty Retro, and she’s also a bit in love with our Red Cuckoo bags.

Miss Emily is a Junior Style Consultant who started with us in Autumn 2019 for work experience relating to her fashion studies, and was invited to join the team permanently in Autumn 2020. Her favourite thing is creating window displays and chatting to our lovely customers and in her spare time she enjoys upcycling clothes to create new designs. She wears size Audrey and her favourite brands are Vendula for their quirky bags, and Pretty Retro for their prints. Fun fact - She *loves* flamingoes!

Miss Gill is one of our models and occasionally assists in Head Office, she has been with us since Winter 2014. She loves the VV style and has adopted it into her daily life and is stopped regularly on the streets by people wanting to know where she gets her fabulous outfits! She has also modelled for the website, being one of our more voluptuous ladies at a size Hedy. Her favourite vintage-inspired brands are Collectif and Hell Bunny. Miss Gill has a BSc in Nursing and now works as a Nurse – where her dark and phenomenal sense of humour keeps her going. She reads endlessly and has an unhealthly obsession with body noises.

Oh, and Mrs Darling wears a size Grace. She likes all the brands, (she did handpick them after all!), but her first love is Authentic Vintage. Her top faves of the inspired lines are Retrospec'd, and Emmy for their quality and authenticity, PS Besitos for bags and Charlie Stone for shoes. She likes pretty old fans, tissue paper and good manners and has a pathological fear of bellybuttons.
