1950s Full Length Lace Formal Evening Gown
Wow! Hollywood glamour to the max in this full length formal lace dress from the 1950s.
Fully lined in rayon acetate, the lace overlay is canary yellow and is a real show stopper in its simplicity.
A delicate scalloped neckline carries from the front round through the back of the dress and is mirrored in the scallop detailing on the cap sleeves for just that little bit extra elegance. There is a flattering empire bust line with two darts allowing for cup room, and a back lapped metal zip. The lace hemline is backed with a thin strip of crinoline/horsehair braid to give weight and movement to the skirt.
There is an 'ILGWU' label, which dates this dress as 1955-1959.
Condition
Fabulous condition. No marks to lining or lace, all lace intact and strong.
