1940s Flower Cluster Pin Brooch
A simply stunning Flower Cluster brooch!
This style first appeared in the late 1930s, but the backing plate on this dates it a little later into early 1940s. Made from very early plastic molded flowers in shades of baby and cornflower blue, topped with tiny glass rondelle stones in ice blue. A centre brass pin secures each flower head into a baby blue plastic stalk with a faceted mosaic centre.
Back roll lock fastening on a brass circular plate.
This darling piece represents lots of little forget-me-nots, which were often gifted as a love token when men went off to war.
