1950s Ann Allyn Cotton Shirtwaister Dress
Every time Mrs Darling looks at this dress she makes a little squeee noise, simply because it is SO exquisite and is the epitome of 1950s shirtwaister perfection.
Made by Ann Allyn in the early 1950s, this crisp cotton dress is collared with 4 pearlescent buttons to the front and a snap stud closure. There are slim pleat gathers around the waist to give the illusion of the Dior New Look volume, and the short half sleeves have a housewife turn up cuff detail with points.
Our favourite thing about this frock is the incredible contrast appliqué detailing on the sleeves and centre back of the dress. We do love a design detail!
Belt not included, styled with petticoat (not included). Styled with a bespoke hat from Tall Blue Starry.
Condition
Excellent-immaculate vintage condition.
